Founding iOS Developer, Visva Inc. May, 2016-Current
I joined Visva in the first few months of the companies founding as a founding iOS developer. In the early days I constructed several beta quality prototype applications to validate product design and api structure. After a design path was chosen, and a slight pivot complete, I started assisting in the construction of a medium sized multi disciplinary team building out Visva's infrastructure and the iOS app that you see on the store today. My primary role was leading a team of three iOS developers, including myself, tasked with bringing Visva to life. Some of my more interesting projects included, creating data structures to quickly store and retrieve comments on posts, architecting data and image cacheing systems to allow for offline viewing of content, and more recently over the last two years acting as the primary technical architect of our REST API. With resolution independence in mind I also worked with our UI designer to create assets drawn almost entirely in code for each device size at runtime, and then stored the assets locally as images for fast reuse. Reducing app download size while allowing for API customizable UI elements. I also devised an incremental loading system for our post details screen to allow for the fast loading of relevant data from several APIs resulting in a much faster viewing time and a better experience for our users. Take a look here.
